The New MySpace’s Feature

June 1, 2008 – 1:55 pm

MySpace currently gives the data sharing service to another site such as Yahoo or eBay. This mean that the MySpace account owner no need to move their profiles or photograph to the other site they chosen.

Amit Kapur, the Chief operating officer MySpace spoke to Associated Press that until now the social network site like MySpace always grips the closed concept. “We meant to destroy the wall that exists until now,” continued Amit.

Several sites apart from Yahoo and eBay also could have taken the data from MySpace. They are including Twitter and Photobucket. The account owner of the sites reached to 150 million people. That was the same as 85% internet user in the United States.

MySpace, as the biggest social network site has about 117 million member in more than 20 countries.
This feature will enable the MySpace account owner to put their photograph and their favorite music to Yahoo Messenger. The same facilities will be added also in the eBay to attract the buyer.

MySpace definitely also has considered the privacy factor in this feature. The account owner can determine which items will be appear and what which one won’t.

This step is obviously in a line with the internet users’ demand of the possibility of Open ID, which allows the user to have one identity that valid for all the sites in the internet.

About a couple months ago Google, Yahoo and MySpace was also developing a standard script for the social network site which can be connected each other.

Well, let’s wait this good news comes true…
