The Music of My Life
April 25, 2008 – 9:41 amYeah, life is like music, have tones of up and down, happiness and sadness, many laughs and tears, have the lyrics of friendship, family, love, anger, feeling, daily life, etc. Most of us are not realize about the art of life, they just stuck in a moment of life; deeply sad and completely happy.
This week I started my life’s song with happiness; I’ve got a call from one of an indie recording label; an invitation to have more deep discuss about the song’s demo I sent a month ago. It seems that I will close the song of this week with happiness, as yesterday is my nephew’s birthday. He is just almost seven years old, but he has many achievements in music and sport. A unique blend indeed, inherits a music talent from his mom (my elder sister is an amateur singer and song writer) and a spirit of sport from his dad, an ex-national swimmer athlete.
Rather than his mother who is a singer, my nephew tends to be music player. Last year he won the best new comer keyboardist for junior category. He also won a 100 meters free style in the kids swimming championship, at the same year. I am, as his uncle, very proud of him. Great nephew, isn’t he? And I know exactly, that he is admire me as a band player. He always has many questions for me about my studio equipment. Every time he comes to my studio, he always asked me to teach him playing one of the instruments. I am sure he will be a great musician for his generation. I don’t know about his career in sport, but I can see his interest on sport as he always stay tune in front of TV when the baseball league season comes. Yeah, he gives attention not only on swimming championship.
Oops, I almost forget to buy a present for his birthday! What do you think about the present I should give? A music instrument? No, I already gave him a drum set for his sixth birthday last year. Maybe, swimming equipment? Nooo, he already had the best swimming set, and always gets the newest product from the sport company sponsorship. What else he put his interest on? Baseball league. Yes! I will give him baseball equipment for his seventh birthday’s prize. Who knows, he will be a pro baseball player as he is on the swimming arena.
