Still like their first performance in Jakarta in 1994, Duran Duran enchanted their fans -that are not youngster anymore, but are the settle class of careers- at Plenary Hall Jakarta Convention Center on April 8 last Tuesday. Their second times arrival in Indonesia was to promoted the latest album which was recorded in the end of 2007, entitled Red Carpet Massacre.

An Evening with Duran Duran is the title of their concert promote by Nepathya. They perform some songs, includes Skindivers, Notorious, The reflex, Girls on Film, Save a Prayer, etc, that remind the audiences to the past glorious Duran Duran. Yeah, it was worthy to the ticket price which range from IDR 750,000 (festival) to IDR 2,000,000 (VVIP). Yup! Duran Duran still have their charisma, like the past decade ago.

In 1994 Duran Duran was a style icon for youngsters in Indonesia. If you are remember the best seller serial novel entitled Lupus written by young talented Indonesian writer at that time, Hilman Hariwijaya, you will notice that Lupus had the same hair style with Rhodes, the keyboardist of the band.

John Taylor and Nick Rhodes formed Duran Duran in Birmingham, UK in 1978. The band had changed the personnel many times indeed. The consecutively Roger Taylor joined the band as drummer, John Taylor who originally played lead guitar was switched to bass. Guitarist Andy Taylor came from Newcastle, and the last joined is the vocalist Simon Le Bon from London. After Andy Taylor left the band in 2006, now the guitarist is handled by Dominic Brown. By the way, there is trivia that some people may make a mistake; for you know, the three Taylor joined in the band are not siblings nor have a family relation, they are all come from different places.
