The pancreas is the organ size and 6-inch long, like a sponge made of long. This organ is located in the rear area of the abdomen. The pancreas has 2 main functions, which produce hormones and enzymes that help the intestines to break food into energy. One of the hormones produced by the pancreas is insulin, which regulates the active substance in blood sugar us, so if someone has a problem of the pancreas tend to have high blood sugar
Pancreatic cancer occurs when malignant cells (malignant) grow and spread in pancreatic tissue.

Pancreatic Cancer Symptoms
Pancreatic cancer is known as the “silent disease” because in the early stages of this disease have almost no symptoms. But if cancer cells have flourished and spread, the pain usually will occur in the upper abdomen and sometimes spreads to the back. Other symptoms include sudden weight loss, depression and decreased appetite.
Pancreatic Cancer Causes
Although the exact causes of pancreatic cancer are unknown, but smoking is the major risk factor. Smokers have a risk 2-3 times higher pancreatic cancer than nonsmokers. Age also affects the existence of this disease, pancreatic cancer usually tend to occur in over 45 years of age, other risk factors include diabetes, pancreatitis and cirrhosis of the liver. Family disease history also has a role in pancreatic cancer.
