Indonesian Students Won 3 Gold Medals in Mongolia

Indonesian students in the frame of Tim Olimpiade Fisika Indonesia (TOFI)/ Indonesian Physics Olympiad Team repeated their success in the 9th Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia 20th to 28th April 2008.
In this scientific competition, Indonesia ranked in the second place right after China, with brought home the three gold medals, one silver medal, one bronze medal and three honorable mention. The first place, China won eight gold medals, whether in the third place was Taiwan with two gold medals. The result was announced in the closing ceremony on Sunday, April 27, 2008.
The three gold medals were presented by Adam Badra Cahaya (SMAN 1 Jember), Rudy Handoko Tanin (SMA Sutomo 1 Medan), and Kevin Winata (SMAK 1 Penabur Jakarta). The silver medal was presented by Thomas A Nugraha Budi (SMAN 78 Jakarta), while Tyas Kosasih (SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang) brought one bronze medal.
